Licensing Division (IYT) announces appointment of SYT ASIA as the First IYT Licensed Yacht Crew Training School in Singapore and Malaysia:
Mark Fry, President & Founder of IYT is pleased to welcome Capt Tom Burland CEO & Chairman of Asia Superyachts Pte Ltd, Singapore, on their recent appointment as Asia’s first actual “onboard†IYT Licensed Superyacht Training School in SE Asia Singapore & Malaysia.
SYT SuperYacht Crew training will be carried out physically onboard the Luxury Superyacht Polaris SP1132D. Polaris is a 52mtr Superyacht based in Singapore. IYT has 70 partnership schools in 28 different countries and its Master of Yachts courses are recognized by 27 Governments worldwide.
SYT Asia will soon be offering courses from absolute beginner and competent crew right up to ICC and Master of Yacht Unlimited (celestial navigation). The IYT Master of Yachts 200 Ton Coastal, Limited, Unlimited and International Certificate of Competency (ICC) courses are recognized by the MCA Maritime and Coastguard Agency UK, Australia and US Coast Guard.
Marine Engineering and Dive Boat Skipper courses will also be run on a regular basis. The courses can be taken in modular format to suit people who wish to partake of the courses in the evenings, weekends, or as full time study.
